my story so far
my process for this book is a bit different from my usual. For this book I researched a topic I was interested in, animation. Specifically stop motion and still motion animated gifs. I made animations. I struggled on what my book would actually be about. I was interested in mixing messages through animation. I was concentrated more on the implementation than the idea. I couldn't come up with anything, so I restarted. I made word lists that started at animation, eventually went to non-sequitar, then to randomness. I did a bunch of research on randomness, which lead me to other terms. The first term was pseudorandomness, from there I began learning the Processing language. I wanted to start creating generative art. While I am still interested in this, and want to include some of it in my book, I found another term. Entropy. This term reminded me of one of my favorite short stories, The Last Question, by Isaac Asimov. I started finding some similarities between my ideas and concepts floating around in my head, the story, and the experiences that I had been doing. Themes in my research and explorations were, restarting, looping, variables, change, time, analysis, repetition, and pattern. Themes the short story were time, restarting, analysis, repetition, and patterns.
